How do I report a lost item?
Open the lost flow, add a clear title, category, general area, approximate date and safe description, then publish. Linked-tag owners can also enable Lost Mode.
What if I find a FindVault tag?
Scan the code or enter the Tag ID. Follow the owner-approved direct contact or private report shown on the public scan page.
Will my phone number be public?
Only if you explicitly enable a direct-contact protection mode. Private Recovery keeps it hidden and routes finders through a report.
How does safe handover work?
Meet in a public place or help desk, verify identifying information without exposing sensitive numbers, and use the finder-held code after physical return when available.
